Yogurt Bowls and Other Yogurt Recipes

Yogurt Snack by @sprittibee

Lately my new kick is the yogurt bowl trend. I admit, sometimes I put it on a plate… or eat it out of a yogurt cup… but the yogurt bowl idea is superb. It’s like cereal… with yogurt instead of milk… and topping choices instead of cereal. OK, so maybe it isn’t like cereal. In […]

The Very Best Grain-Free, Gluten-Free Paleo Brownies

Almond-Butter Brownies

If you know me, you should know that I am crazy about chocolate. In fact, I eat one of these brownies (or 2-3 of them) per day. They are HEATHER APPROVED. Not only that, but everyone we’ve shared them with asks for the recipe… which is why I’m putting it here. I can now just […]

Merry Hanukkah, Happy Christmas

Hanukkah Latkes

We like to go crazy around the holidays and use every excuse we can find to praise the Lord. Hanukkah gives us eight extra days of celebration and more chances to sit around the table together as a family, eating delicious foods, talking about how thankful we are for God’s miracles. If you are looking […]

Thanksgiving Week Lists, a Wild Turkey and a Menu

Gratitude Garland

Lest you think I’ve disappeared, I thought I would check in and share a little about my Thanksgiving week. I’m pretty sure it will be better than last week. Last week was a good week to be looking BACK on. I’m looking forward to THIS week… counting my blessings like it’s going out of style. […]

Mostly Grain and Sugar Free Lunch Ideas

Gluten & Sugar Free Lunch Ideas

I did a BIG List of Lunch Ideas Post a year or so ago – right before we began our journey to live a more “paleo-ish” lifestyle and ditch inflammatory grains and disease-and-obesity-causing sugar. We were really doing well with our low-grain and sugar diet until my oldest teen started slipping up. The closer he […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
