Creation Sunday Series: Ten Commandments

Little Moses via @sprittibee

VBS was fun a few weeks back and my boys loved the mountain they put on the stage and the story about Moses’ life. They came inside from playing out in the yard this week and held out the “TEN COMMANDMENTS” for me to inspect. They were so proud of themselves. They had made them […]

10 Days of Accidental Unschooling – Day 1: Not So Super

Unschooling sounds like a really anti-schoolish word. I used to completely dismiss it. I thought that unschool families were completely child-led; that the parents had nothing to do with their child’s education besides just keeping them fed and safe. I assumed the child only did “what they wanted” all day long without any parental supervision […]

Gone Fishin’, Be Back Later…

Here are a few highlights of our field trip day. We sunk our lures and caught some fish. What a beautiful day it was here in Arkansas for a fishing trip with friends. It was nice to have the private creek all to ourselves and picnic in the warm spring sun. Cold Kool-Aid and Doritos, […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
