Creation Sunday Series: Be Thou My Vision

bethoumyvision

This is the song that was in my head the morning that my friend’s daughter graduated …. and they played this song during the graduation. Don’t you love it when God gives you a little tidbit multiple times, as if He means it just for you? I just love old hymns. This is one of […]

Hello February

Hello February Instagram Challenge

Yesterday was my little one’s SIXTH birthday. I’m no longer the parent of a pre-school age kid. I’m not sure how to feel about that. I sure love tiny people. God knows how to make miniature people adorable. I’m clinging to every little word he mis-pronounces now, and every funny thing he says. A week […]

Cowgirl Renovation Part 1: My New Rustic DIY Adventure

Cowgirl Renovation Part 1 by @sprittibee

Because of some repairs we needed to make to our house (a door that had a rotten frame, walls that needed paint, carpet that needed to be replaced), I decided to tackle a Pinterest-worthy dream I’ve been having of “remodeling” and re-purposing my living room and dining room spaces. Of course, I have “dreams” for […]

Mixed Media Altered Book Art Journaling with Teens

I have a confession to make. I’m an art lover. If it were up to me, I would do art all day, and not get anything else done. When I was a kid, I doodled and daydreamed and created art to the exclusion of much else. It got me in trouble. My kids are acorns […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
