Adding a Menu Plan to Google Calendar

Sunday night I stayed up late trying to sync my iPhone. If you know how disobedient iTunes can be, and how long it takes you to back up purchases on your iPhone when you haven’t done it, (like, For.Ever.)… you’ll imagine the kind of time I had to kill while everyone else was asleep. I […]

A Little Overwhelmed this Week

We’z crazy, y’all. In my house, there’s never a dull moment. It’s a good thing you all can keep yourselves entertained when the silence is too much around here on my blog. I tend to take on more than I can handle. I’m learning to say no more, I promise. I’ve been reading “Say Goodbye […]

Her Birthday Week

“God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well.” ~ Voltaire And then she was 15. My sweet little girl keeps growing up despite my best efforts to keep her young. Books on the head don’t stop growing. Books in the head (ie: reading) […]

Weekly Menu and High School Assignments; plus other random lists…

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” ~ Benjamin Franklin Anyone else out there have a Christmas hangover? My life has been going 90 miles a minute since November. It seems like an eternity since I just sat down to do any random blogging. Anyone still out there? ::: crickets ::: We got […]

The Big List of Lunch Ideas

Are you ever stumped on what to make for lunch for your homeschool or preschool kids? Homeschoolers do have the advantage because they can eat healthier mom-approved foods at home, and take more time for lunch if they want; but if Mom is frazzled, not prepared, or at a loss for what to make, it […]

Taste of Spain – Easy Dinner Recipes for Entertaining

I’m participating in Carbonell Olive Oil’s #DareToCarbonell campaign – highlighting their three distinctive flavors of Spanish olive oil – number one in Spain since 1866, and sold in more than 50 countries. I used all three versions of oils in these recipes, and although I didn’t use the correct ones for the correct things in […]

Low Tech Menu Planning

I meet myself coming and going in this busy house with two homeschooled teens and two toddlers bent on world-domination. However, even a family in fast-forward needs to eat. Just because mama is on a diet doesn’t mean the rest of the gang has to suffer. I know my kids were lost that first week […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
