If You Are On the Fence About Homeschool Conventions

Texas Homeschool Coalition Called to Teach Convention 2018 via @sprittibee

Even though I’m “just the photographer” at the homeschool conventions I go to each year, I thought I would share my own experiences with how I benefit from them as a homeschool mama. Of course, that is my main job, even though it doesn’t pay the bills. I wanted to dispel the myth that I […]

Are Texas Home School Coalition Conventions for You?

THSC Arlington 2015 - program lookers via @sprittibee

It’s summer. Well, at least for most of us. We have maybe two weeks left of tidying up and tying loose homeschool ends and we are DONE with 11th grade for my teens, Kindergarten for the 6 year old, and Preschool for my littlest guy. I’m in purge mode, research mode, curriculum buying mode, class […]

To Sum Up a Homeschool Conference…

The Carmans at THSC

I had all these words floating around in my mind over the past few days… words that tried to somehow grasp at buttoning up the experience of THSC and presenting it neat-fit and tucked in. But there wasn’t time enough. I treasured the weekend up and decided to share it tonight before it was lost. […]

Some Homeschool Mom Perspective {and a LOT OF FUN}

THSC Vendor Hall

There’s nothing like being around SEVEN THOUSAND other homeschoolish people to lift your spirits and make you feel like what you are doing will impact eternity. So it will be later this week when the masses of like-minded descend upon The Woodlands, Texas to encourage, recharge, learn, grow, and fellowship together at the Texas Home […]

Convention and Field Trip Fever

I bet you thought I had disappeared off the face of the earth, eh? Well, that is – unless you follow me on twitter or instagram. I went to Houston – to the THSC Convention! I took my camera. I was REEEEAL busy. No time for blogging when you are capturing the essence of an […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
