This week it’s a cell phone challenge at I Heart Faces. I know that DSLRs are great, but I would be lost without my iPhone camera. Some of my favorite photos that I have taken are iPhone pics. You would be surprised, I bet, if you saw some of them, that they weren’t from my ‘big daddy’ camera. Not that the grain isn’t a bit of a tattle tell on them… but you know, the camera isn’t what makes the photographer. The passion you have for it and the passion you have for the subject matter – that’s what makes a great photo.
There are some excellent phone aps for iPhone photographers. Some that I love are Photoshop Express and Instagram. If you don’t believe that phone pictures can be wonderful… meet me back at I Heart Faces later this week to see the winning pictures! I bet they will rock your socks off: proving that you don’t have to have a DSLR to take good pictures!

I get that look from my boys all the time! haha. Great capture.

I agree, although the camera on my T-Mobile Dash really STINKS! Hehe!! That is such a funny look on his face. My son is only 22 months old and he already makes faces like that – blows my mind.
Kent Weakley says
Heather,
Love that face!
You're exactly right ~
You can put a $10,000 DSLR in uninspired hands and not get a decent shot. Or you could give a motivated, creative photographer a $2 oatmeal box pinhole camera and they might make a masterpiece.
IOW – The photo is a product of you, not the camera!
Take care!

That expression is perfect – and with the sweet baby toes in the background??! Love it! 🙂
Rebecca says
That is awesome! I don't have an iPhone….actually no cell phone right now…I miss taking pics with it! Love your sweet pictures!
James Nikon says
Good shot! The image is clear, I thought it was taken from a camera. Did you use some apps to edit this or this is the original?
Heather says
This was SOOC! 😉 I do like to edit on my iPhone, though. I did this one on a 3G – which has a crummy camera compared to the 4GS.
