Way back in 2008, I took my list of links I had been gathering and put them in ONE post. It became one of my most popular posts. So I figure it deserved a little TLC – some updating and adding to since so many years have passed.
Most of them I used (or still use) for my own homeschooling and others have been passed on to me through homeschool friends, online groups, or co-ops. There are so many to pick from – too much to look at in one sitting… so take your time and bookmark this post.
I will continue to try and keep it updated. If you find a link that you feel has merit, please don’t hesitate to email me. If I do a large update, I will post a notice and link back here to let you know. Otherwise, check back here every now and then and I’m sure you’ll find that I have added one or two more favorites.
If you would like to share a link with me, please email me at longhorn dot bee at gmail dot com (dots are periods, at is the @ symbol, remove all spaces)!

P.S. I add to this list when I find good links… but with homeschooling and keeping my boys from destroying the world, you can imagine that it isn’t top on my list. I welcome suggestions FROM HOMESCHOOL MOMS (please do not leave suggestions in the comments as I will not publish them there – sadly, I have had quite a few businesses try to leave them there for free advertising).
P.S.S. If you are a company wanting to place a link here, I do not add free links. You can purchase a link at standard industry ad rates for embedded links with anchored text. I guarantee them for a year. They must be relevant to my audience and helpful to homeschoolers or they won’t make this list. Thanks for your cooperation.
Disclaimer: I may or may not at any given time have an affiliate link or sponsored link on this page (see P.S.S. above). I add and remove them when the need arises, so just assume that there are some. Also – this list was compiled in 2013 originally, so there are bound to be broken links by now. I’ll be back in and out to check them, but if you find a broken one… please do shoot me a text/email/tweet/FB message/IG comment – whatevs! 😉 Thank you!
OH my. You’re killing me here. I’ll have to check these links out…I can’t resist links.
Bless your linking heart.
that was a lot of work 🙂
Oooo, I’m so glad you did this though it must have taken some time to compile all of this. I’ve already checked out a few links and will definitely have to come back. I’ve already bookmarked the page.
Thanks for this great list of tools! Here’s a site that I’ve been exploring and wanted to tell you about – c Bible Study Tools at Christianity.com has a huge library of tools with 29 translations commentaries, concordances, apocrypha, devotionals, lexicons, maps, e-books, and great reading plans. You can also highlight text, save your own notes, use a split screen panel so you can see two translations, a translation and a commentary, etc. I hope you get a chance to explore it!
WOW!! Thank you for all your hard work. I do plan to check out your list. I’m hosting a giveaway at my site, it’s a great book, stop by and see, http://www.crumbsonmyfloor.com
I tried checking out your blog but it is password protected, can you send me something so I can get updates from your blog? THNX!
AllyJo – Yeah, but remember – even though I am posting them all, that doesn’t mean I am some superhuman homeschooler who has had the time to really investigate and enjoy them all! 🙂 I’m still browsing them myself. So far there are some real gems!
Isaiah5513 – Well, at least most of my links are up. It may take forever to get the rest of them on there from my past 3 years of posting.
Terri – 🙂 Come on back when you have free time – whatever that is!?
Thanks for the extra links Anonymous. 🙂
Crumbs – I added my name to your hat. Glad you liked the links.
Thanks so much for sharing. You inspired me to start my own blog! I need to learn more about using it, but I plan to read through more of yours and maybe I will get the hang of it. My husband discovered your blog when he was searching out KONOS and we were so grateful to find you. Thank you for putting in so much work–it really inspires me to keep trucking!
Wow! This is impressive! Our homeschool co-op has a website and we are compiling some links, so this is a great resource for me. Thanks!

WOWZERS! Thanks. I will link to your post.
Wow! This is an amazing list! Thanks!
I am so glad you wrote this list! I have been looking for a Spanish course for my children, and I think the BBC link you list will fit my needs nicely. You put a lot of work in to this! 🙂
Hi! What an amazing list…so many on here that I haven't seen before! Thanks so much for putting this together! I have also found a site called http://www.qwizzysworld.com that was founded by a mom in my area. It isn't subject-specific but rather allows you (or your kids, if they are old enough) to create study materials and practice quizzes from your own material. I taught elementary school before having my children and think it would be a great resource for teachers…and homeschooling parents too! I look forward to checking out some of your links, too!
May God Bless you! There's so much information! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

LOL! I am going to have to pull an all nighter just to make a dent. Thank you for sharing. I heard about you from a local homeschool group that is helping me make the jump to homeschool. Thank you!!

The site also offers super resources for various topics such as speed reading, SAT, GRE Verbal Tips, GMAT Test Prep, How to Increase Your Vocabulary…
Learning Games For Kids
This site offers online educational games, video lesson, educational songs…all tied to various subject areas. Starts at a Pre-K level and goes up.

Thank you for taking the time to put this together. It’s greatly appreciated.
My WORD, Spritti! That was a whole lot of work:0
Thanks so much. I look forward to exploring them as I have time!
PS: There better be a few affiliate links among that listing! Doesn’t the scriptures teach that a worker bee is worthy of their wages?!:)Just sayin.
This is a great list of resources. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome. 🙂
Amazing list, Heather!! Thanks for sharing! I did find though the link for Taffie said page not found. 🙁 We are new to North Texas and looking for co-ops if you might know of another site I’d really appreciate it. 🙂 Thank you again for sharing this amazing list!! Great list, added this to Pintrest board. Two more I love, love, love not on the list are:
http://www.roadsideamerica.com/ A very comprehensive list of off the beaten path attractions, historical monuments, parks, etc. Can do search by zip code for what is in your area. Perfect for field trip day, teaching local history, and getting kids to soak up culture.
http://homeschoolclassifieds.com/ Classes, homeschool groups, curriculum and more. The name says it all.
This list is incredible! Thank you!
There is a sweet home-school story in my daughter’s book:
“A Collection of Seven Children’s Stories”: Sarah Starts Homeschool
Kristin illustrated and wrote the stories when she was 15 and home schooled.
Available at AuthorHouse.com on e-book.

What’s covered by Konos? link says it’s locked! not working. 🙂
Here’s a good link. Thanks for notifying me that the other one wasn’t working!
I am a handmade jewelry designer and creator but I also homeschool my 5 year old grandson which takes a lot of my creativity and time. I love this post. My question is, I would love to follow your blog but your ‘bee’ does not appear in your follow link area. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
it looks like this link ( Taffie: Texas Support Group/Co-Op List by Area ) isn’t working. I found the home page at https://sites.google.com/a/jsoft.com/home/dh_a6qptg/sprittibee.com/archive/taffie/

Wow! What a tremendous list of resources! Congratulations on assembling such a comprehensive list.
I thought you might be interested in a website I run called Reading Rewards. It is an online reading log/reading incentive program used by parents, teachers and librarians worldwide. In a nutshell, kids log reading time, and earn points (RR Miles) for minutes read. Parents, teacher and/or librarians can then add custom rewards that kids can ‘purchase’ with their points. By connecting to friends, kids also get valuable book recommendations and can read and exchange about books they are reading. It is a completely free and safe program aimed at encouraging reading. I hope you’ll check it out!
Thanks again 🙂
