Can No-Drama-Mama Survive the COUNTRY?

Pumpkin Time by @sprittibee

October came and went like a gust of fall air and a whirlwind of leaves. We have been busy with making the house ready to sell, getting school books read, purging things from here and my mom’s, and trying to stay on top of the drama that always seems to find us (no matter how […]

All in a span of just 30 minutes…

Don’t let those sweet faces fool you. In the last 30 minutes they have: 1. Emptied half a box of crackers on the kitchen table and crushed them in to dust. 2. Turned the water on and plugged the sink in the powder room downstairs – thank God mama had to pee and found it […]

Why You Other Christians Should Be Jealous

If there’s one thing Texans don’t lack, it’s the love of all things Texas. Pretty much the only thing bigger is God himself. The painting above is of the Texas Hill Country in spring. Some sweet lady at our church painted it. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Bluebonnets and winding country roads make my heart sing. […]

The Ultimate Top Secret Guide to Taking Over the World

My teen boy has a love of humor. When I got this book in the mail, I asked him to review it for me. I knew he would love it after reading the email from the publisher. Here’s his take on this hilarious book (that I hesitate to call a book for kids, because I […]

I Promise 2 Bee More Domestic

My good friend Domestic Chicky the Apronista had a contest for a free apron last week and I won! I won a 56$ apron! This will be my very first apron. I kid you not. I’m nearly … well… let’s just say I’m not 20 any more, and I’ve never owned an apron. Of any […]

Redneck Seafood Dinner

I had to post this. How funny is that?! The photo isn’t mine – it came over email. We are studying about whaling, seafood, sea animals and the New England coast right now. I’m not real big on cooking a lot of seafood at home. I have NEVER eaten REAL clam chowder, either… but we […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
